Phoenix Services LLC ("Phoenix Services") was founded in 2006 to provide world-class, responsive mill services to steel producers around the globe. Phoenix Services operates primarily in the slag processing and metal recovery businesses, servicing steel and non-ferrous mills and landowners with significant slag banks from former mill operations.

Phoenix Services' current operations and signed contracts include:

- Arcelor Mittal Steel, Sparrows Point, MD - Phoenix Services provides all BOF handling services (using slag pot and pot carriers), slag processing, metal recovery services, backlog BOF slag processing, and BOF slag marketing.

- Steel Dynamics, Roanoke Bar Division, Roanoke, VA - Phoenix Services provides all steel mill services at this mill.

- Latrobe Steel - Phoenix Services transports all current slag generated by this specialty mill to an offsite location and recovers the metallics for return to the mill.

- Midland, PA - Phoenix Services provides metal recovery and slag processing services for several foundry and steel mini-mill clients at a proximate site that contains a historic, unprocessed slag bank that can be mined for metal recovery.

Upon taking over a slag handling and metal recovery contract, Phoenix Services will design and build new high-capacity/high-efficiency slag processing and metal recovery plants utilizing the latest technology for magnetic recovery of scrap from slag in order to maximize the processing of BF slag and/or steel slag, and to maximize the recovery of metallics. Phoenix Services also generates revenue for the steel mill from slag and by-product sales. Phoenix Services' top management works toward creating a good working relationship with local and state governments to approve slag for road construction and other applications, and also employs dedicated people whose sole responsibility is to market materials from the steel mill. We normally pay the steel mill a royalty on slag and by-product sales.

As a result of our reclaiming more scrap from the current slag operation and old slag banks, and from royalties from slag and by-product sales, our customers minimize their need to purchase scrap and iron units on the open market, and substantially improve their cash flow.
